A new visual identity design for Content For Good & Co

Content For Good & Co is a content marketing consultancy for B-Corp™ and sustainability leaders. Megan reached out to me as their old visuals didn’t reflect their changing direction from an agency to consultancy, and were bland and un-engaging; limiting their impact. We performed a community survey, followed by a full visual identity redesign, including website illustrations and branded templates.

Here's what we ended up with:
Primary logo
Horizontal logo versions
Pitch deck template design
Website homepage illustration design
Service icon designs
Further website illustrations
Linkedin banner designs
Newsletter banner designs
Youtube thumbnail templates
Infographic design for event presentation
(adapted for social media)

"Tara took the time to survey my community, and discuss messaging, which was greatly appreciated and stood out for its professionalism, organization, and creativity"

“I partnered with Tara to work on a rebrand for my content consultancy. Her dedication to the rebranding process—taking the time to survey my community, discuss messaging, and finalize the final product— was greatly appreciated and stood out for its professionalism, organization, and creativity. Her values for people and the planet reflected throughout her work and was something else that I greatly appreciated."

Process

Before I started working with Content For Good & Co, they were positioned as a content agency, not consultancy. Their visuals were stuffy and felt out of alignment with who they are. However, they had an ‘organic shape’ theme that they wanted to bring forward and evolve in their new visual identity.

After getting familiar with the brand foundations and goals of the project, I researched industry colleagues, to assess their predominate design style. I then surveyed the Content For Good & Co community on potential styles and routes we could take. With the results from this process, I put forward a strategy of how we will meet the key objectives of the project, alongside an initial design concept for the visual identity.

After hearing Megan's feedback we further evolved this concept until it was what we have today. The final stage of the project was designing banners, branded templates, and an infographic.

Outcomes

Their visual identity allowed for the creation of a unique, engaging and low carbon website, a consistent social media look, as well as vibrant event presentations and marketing material.

Overall this work allows Content For Good & Co to bring more awareness to the ‘marketing as a force for good’ movement. They can now powerfully advocate for sustainable marketing and encourage marketers to step into the ‘ecomarketer’ role.
