Across an 8-10 week period we'll craft a new visual identity and comprehensive suite of visual assets and brand guidelines for your organisation.
This package will enable you to effectively communicate your mission, values and purpose to your diverse audiences. Through using aligned visuals, you'll be able to communicate your brand with more clarity and instil trust in your donors and stakeholders. You'll be able to stand out from the crowd and become liked and remembered, garnering more support and interest in your organisation.
This could result in:
• A steady increase in new members over the coming months
• Increased attendance at events & participation in initiatives
• Increase revenue or funding
• A tighter and more engaged community
Through using your new visual identity consistently and intentionally, your audience will feel a greater sense of purpose; they'll become empowered change-makers, and positive visionaries.
In order to work with me on a new visual brand design, it is recommended that you have a basic understanding of your brand foundations. These are the core values, purpose and overall mission that your brand is built upon. You'll also want to know who your target audiences are, and what differentiates you from similar organisations.
Here's the process we will go through to design your visual identity:
Building an impactful brand identity starts with uncovering what isn't currently performing well for your organisation and then setting realistic objectives for the design. This will ensure progress is targeted and measurable. We'll discuss and develop your brand foundations (vision, purpose, mission, voice, and values) to add clarity to your brand message and form a solid base from which we can start the visual design.
To ensure your brand identity performs as intended and communicates the right message to the right people, I can conduct stakeholder interviews and research. This will be done alongside industry research, to assess the predominate design style / strengths & weaknesses, of similar organisations. This will be used to inform the strategic design mapping, where I'll explore and devise a strategy of how we will meet the key objectives of the project through your brand design.
Based off the strategic design mapping, I'll put together two distinct visual mood boards. The two different options will explore different stylistic routes we could take to inspire the brand identity design. These options will be presented to you and a selection of your stakeholders to see which resonates more strongly.
In Phase 4 I'll start designing the brand identity. It will be an iterative process that starts with colours, fonts, and logo design, and then moves into the supporting aspects of your brand identity. We'll collect and collate feedback through team & stakeholder consultations, and use this to make necessary amendments.
Once the brand identity design has been signed off, I'll start applying the new design to your brand collateral, putting together your brand guidelines document, and designing potential campaign pieces.
Monthly retainer package - my brand design clients can access further design services at a reduced rate through add-on retainer packages. This can be to design social posts, campaigns, or posters etc. using your brand identity.
Why is visual identity design so important?
Without a strong visual identity you risk coming across as chaotic, untrustworthy and confusing. When your visual identity looks professional, is consistent, and is aligned with your organisation's purpose, values, and mission, people are more likely to trust what you're saying and see you as credible.
Do you offer logo only design services?
Your visual identity is more than just a logo, which is why I usually don't offer logo-only design packages. However, feel free to get in touch about your unique situation and we can discuss how I could support you on a logo re-design.
How do payments work?
Usually I take 70% of the project price upfront, and 30% at the end of the project.
What if I don't like the designs?
The brand design process contains a lot of information gathering and strategy. This is so I can create designs that perform well for your brand. Through the creative direction process I'll produce two distinct mood boards for you to choose between to inspire the visual identity design. There are also 2 rounds of revisions to the visual identity included in each package so you can voice your feedback and request amendments. All this means that you can be sure your final visual identity will be just right.
Do you offer website design services?
No, I don't offer website design through Metari Design. However I can put you in touch with my trusted web design partner who will use the visual identity and brand guidelines we create to produce an on-brand and optimised website for you.
How will we communicate throughout the project?
We will have online meetings throughout the project. The rest will be communicated via video and pdf presentations. We will use Notion to host the project, where you can keep track of the project timeline, presentation uploads, and provide feedback on the designs. I am always available to contact via email.
What file types will I receive?
Normally I provide logo files in .png, .svg, .pdf, and an .ai source file. Your social media post and slide deck templates will be provided as Canva files, or PowerPoint/Slides on request. You can always request different file types and I will be more than happy to provide these too.
What is the time investment?
Brand design will require about 8 hours of your time across an 8 week period.
We'll have a no-commitment chat about your organisation and the struggles you're having with your visuals. We'll discuss what strategic visual identity design could help you achieve, and after I'll create a personalised proposal for you to review before you decide to work with me!
